Roma do not want to lose Leonardo Spinazzola on a free transfer and have been approached by some Premier League clubs, reports suggest.

The 30-year-old Italian left back has entered the last six months of his contract in the Italian capital and his agent Davide Lippi recently confirmed that he wouldn’t be signing a new deal with the Giallorossi.

Spinazzola has featured regularly under Jose Mourinho this term, seeing 963 minutes of action across 16 matches, but will soon have to find a new home. In the meantime, Financial Fair Play restrictions imposed on Roma will heavily limit their spending in the January transfer window.

As reported by LaRoma24, a handful of unnamed Premier League clubs have approached Roma to enquire about Spinazzola in the first week of this winter transfer window, keen to sign the veteran on a low-cost deal.

The 30-year-old has also attracted interest from Galatasaray and some clubs in the Saudi Pro League, making a departure this month all but guaranteed. His sale would give Roma some breathing room amidst their FFP restrictions.
