Flyers sign Tanner Laczynski to a two-year contract

The Philadelphia Flyers have brought back another signed forward, Tanner Laczynski, to a two-year, two-way/one-way contract today. This deal keeps the young forward in Philly for the foreseeable future. The deal has an annual value of $762,500. Laczynski has spent his entire career so far in the Flyers organization after being drafted by the team in the sixth round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

Laczynski played in one game with the Flyers during the 2021-2022 season. He missed a major part of the year due to recovery from a torn labrum that required surgery in April 2021.

Most of Laczynski’s playing time last season came with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, as he played in 28 games during the 2021-2022 campaign, scoring seven goals and 10 assists in that time. The young forward was eyeing a roster spot on the Flyers going into last year, but the injury he suffered unfortunately set him back.

Laczynski is a versatile forward as he can play both at center and on the wing, potentially even next season. As of right now, Laczynski fits into Philadelphia’s fourth line the best. He will be competing for a roster spot during training camp before the upcoming 2022-2023 season.
