Inter Miami No.10 Lionel Messi was at his absolute best against New England Revolution in the MLS as his side pulled off a 4-1 win against their opposition. At the heart of their win was Messi, as the 36-year-old both scored and assisted in the game. His first contribution of the night came in the 32nd minute when Robert Taylor slid the ball into the No.10’s path.

A quick touch to compose himself and before the New England defense could react, Messi had placed the ball in the back of the net. Almost 30 minutes later, Messi came up with his second, this time assisted by Sergio Busquets. The Spaniard’s inch-perfect pass gave Messi a 1v1 against the keeper, and as expected, he found the net from close range.

His third goal contribution of the game came through an assist for Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan did magnificently well to compose himself in a tight area and brilliantly place the ball into the top left corner. Following the win, Inter Miami bounced back from a set of disappointing results and are now top of the MLS table with 21 points from 11 games.
