A former Tennessee Vols standout was described by ESPN NFL analyst Louis Riddick as the best "value pick" in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Riddick, a former NFL defensive back who spent over a decade working in NFL front offices after his playing career, is a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs' decision to draft former Vols cornerback Kamal Hadden in the sixth round.
"It was to be Kamal Hadden, who was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the sixth round," said Riddick on ESPN when asked about his favorite value pick in the draft. "(Chiefs GM) Breatt Veach and (Chiefs HC) Andy Reid have developed defensive backs in the latter rounds, and even at the top of the draft, as well as anyone over the past couple of years. As a matter of fact, it's what spurred them on to win back-to-back Super Bowls. That ability to draft defensive players in the secondary who can become productive players very quickly. Kamal Hadden is another one of those guys."

Hadden has already received comparisons to former Chiefs cornerback L'Jarius Sneed, who was traded to the Tennessee Titans earlier this offseason.

L'Jarius Sneed combine: 6' 1/2" 192 pounds, 31 3/8" arms, 10-yard split 1.51
Kamal Hadden pro day: 6' 1", 192 pounds 31 3/8" arms, 10-yard split 1.51
Hadden landed in a dream situation with the Chiefs. Not only does he get to join a team that's one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl next season, but he's also heading to a franchise with a stellar reputation for developing defensive backs.
